Top Tips

These games are often recommended for older kids.

Do not expect your toddler to be independent, follow the rules or be able to take turns.

Rather follow your child's lead and delight in their skills and see how they "play" the game

Try to give them space to figure things out... rather than jumping in to fix/correct. Sometimes they need to see for themselves, sit with it and try again.

Remember connection before correction!

Thank you for reading

Hopefully these  games bring you and your little one loads of FUN and joy whilst also building turn taking, cognitive and fine motor skills.

Remember - you dont have to buy and you can make many DIY games from things you have at home. Pop over to my Instagram @nicole_kidsphysio for lots of DIY toy tips.

A reminder about my amazing membership, the Baby or Toddler Play Academy which has over 250 play ideas, language and motor development support for your little one from birth to walking. You even get me and my team of paediatric physio, OT and speechies on hand for support. You can also always check in with me or my team face to face or by telehealth here. Reassurance is key to peace of mind!
